Come and join Jim and Gilles from Fermentis and Rich from Charles Faram for an interactive session at Thornbridge Brewery on Thursday 27th November 2025.The session will include presentations on the different lager yeast strains as well as lots of Lo/No info (just in time for Dry January!) and insights in to how dried Yeast is made and the quality standards of Fermentis Yeast. Jim and Gilles will be holding an interactive session using the Aroxa flavour standards.
Rich will be presenting a session on Abstrax including an interactive tasting session using Quantum (Hops), Skyfarm (Fruit) and BrewGas (Dank). The main focus for this session is the simple creation of hop waters for sale in your taproom but he'll also touch on how best to use the products in beer.
The event will also include a brewery tour around Thornbridge (Home of the Burton Union System) as well as lunch and drinks for all attendees.

What is a Fermentis Academy event?
At Fermentis we want to provide the very best information about our products and how to use them. Therefore, we created the Fermentis Academy program with two objectives:

Our Fermentis Academy team carries out applied research programs, looking into the characterisation of our yeast range or into new applications, and studying the latest trends in beverage making.
Sensory analysis is managed by several trained panels as well as an expert panel, in order to investigate the impact of yeast on taste and flavor of beverages.
2. Share and educate around the world
