Fermentis teamed up with top beer judges from around the world to evaluate and celebrate the best beers submitted to the international competition, the Brussels Beer Challenge. This year’s event took place in the heart of the Famenne-Ardenne region, in the city of Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium, making it the temporary beer capital.
As a proud main sponsor, Fermentis joined about 80 beer judges to evaluate over 1700 beers from across the globe. With categories ranging from traditional lagers, wheat beers, and ales to specialty and flavorful beers, this year’s event showcased brewers’ creativity worldwide and the high quality of their beers. Brewers submitted more non-alcoholic and low-alcohol options, reflecting global trends and increasing customer demand.
The 2025 Brussels Beer Challenge proved a simple truth: quality always wins. Whether highlighting timeless classics or bold innovations, the medal winners demonstrate the richness and diversity of modern brewing.
Fermentis proudly awarded the Best of Show – Fermentis Trophy to Dutch Brewery Oedipus Brewing for their Mannenliefde beer. This saison features lemongrass for freshness, Szechuan pepper, and Sorachi Ace hops, which impart herbal and coconut aromas.
Congratulations to all medalists and participants in this year’s event!
We look forward to another successful edition in 2026, which has been announced to be organised in the beautiful West Flanders city of Roeselare, Belgium.
