Since the launch of our very first range of products for the fermentation of coffee cherries (SafCoffee™ ), our team has been very active at exhibitions throughout the world, to showcase our products and get Fermentis on the map when it comes to yeast for coffee.

Since the beginning of 2025, we have displayed the SafCoffee™ range in Tanzania, Vietnam, Switzerland and now Brazil, the world’s number one coffee bean producer.

Coffee cherry fermentation is a little different to fermenting a liquid such as a wine must or beer wort. This raw material fermentation doesn’t give you the end product immediately of course, however, it’s a major contributor to ensure your coffee is of the highest order.

Coffee cherry fermentation helps remove the flesh from around the bean, speeding the processing step. It also provides distinctive flavors to the coffee bean, leaving a unique mark, even after the bean has been roasted. Overall, using specialty yeast for cherry fermentation can also help improve the cupping score of the coffee made with the beans.

This weekend, we were exhibiting our SafCoffee™ range in one of the biggest markets on the planet: Brazil. There was a huge amount of interest in our products: the tasting sessions of our coffee generated many enquiries.

We also took this great opportunity to film on location, with plenty of valuable material, to explain how our SafCoffee™ range can help coffee growers all over the world. If you’d like more information on the products, how they can help you, or begin some trials, please contact our team: we’re here to help!
