Monday, May 8 from 2 PM to 4:30 PM: LET’S CELEBR-8!

Fermentis has teamed up with the Brussels Beer Challenge to congratulate all American Winners of last year’s BBC. Therefore we invite you all to come on down to the Fermentis hospitality room 202BC, Monday, May 8th from 2:00 - 4:30 pm during CBC hours.

After the BBC ceremony, we will transition to a casual SafBrew™ BR-8 barnyard bash! We will try to get you into that Brettanomyces barnyard, horse, and leather feeling while hanging out with friends to country music from a local Nashville artist.

Try different beers brewed with our SafBrew™ BR-8 as well as mingle with the Fermentis team to discuss the flavorful benefits of Brettanomyces with notes of barnyard, horse, and leather, but with more control and reliability. Now conveniently available in 100 g pouches and 5 g sachets.

Tuesday, May 9 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM: SafBrew™ BR-8, the first ever dried Brettanomyces for brewers

Brettanomyces is a non-conventional yeast species initially found early 20th century, which has made a comeback in the global beer industry in recent years. Fermentis launched SafBrew™ BR-8, the first Brett in a dry format, offering brewers all the flavorful benefits of the “wild” yeast Brettanomyces, but with more control and reliability. This lecture will relate the technical and sensory characteristics of the yeast, including the quality parameters, how it is produced and how it should be used.
